It's time to meet Rosita, a two-year-old girl who recently went to a foster home! Here's what her foster parents have to say about her so far:
"Rosita (affectionately nicknamed Ms. Roxy) is such a love bug! She absolutely loves people and thinks she's a lap dog. Ms. Roxy absolutely hates cats, but she should do fine with other dogs with proper introductions and patience. However, she could definitely thrive as an only dog. Ms. Roxy LOVES attention. As a neighborhood stray, she ran with a few other strays in my neighborhood with no problem. My dog is not the friendliest and has not been pleasant, so I have not re-tested her with dogs.
Ms. Roxy does well in her kennel and has no accidents at all. She does have a bit of separation anxiety and wants to be with her people, so someone who is at home a lot will allow her to flourish. She's working on her leash manners, picks up on routines quickly, and is treat motivated, so she should be easy to train. Roxy knows "sit" and sometimes "shake." She loves balls and rope toys and is energetic, so plenty of exercise is necessary. A large yard where she can run and play is ideal!
Ms. Roxy is a sweetheart who deserves the absolute best family. Only the best home will do!"

Our standard adoption fee is $75 for dogs and $70 for cats. This includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, heartworm test (and treatment medication if needed) for dogs, FeLV test for cats, collar, leash for dogs, and a customized ID tag.
All adoptions must be completed in-person and require a driver's license and payment in the form of cash or a credit/debit card. MAS does not accept checks for adoption fees.
