Meet the Pet
This helps Space Coast Bunnies with pet care costs.
Yukon is such a doll!! He is about 2 years old, very sweet, and is adjusting to life out of the hutch. He and his brother Arctic were saved from a meat breeder who was getting rid of them. The were fed bread and didn't even have enough room to fully stand up. The two brothers were very bonded. Arctic sadly just passed away and Yukon would really love a new friend. He has had a tough life and deserved to be spoiled in a loving home!
He gets excited for food and treats. Yukon, the chocolate colored bun is a little shy. He is startled by a lot of activity so he needs a laid back home. He is so good being handled and so precious. We can't believe how anyone would consider harming them. We're can't do glad he's safe now and he can't wait to have a furever family!

About bunnies:
First time rabbit adopter? We can send you information about housing and care. You should also know:
- They are NOT starter pets. They need (indoor) space and attention like a small dog would. They need hay, pellets and greens daily. And any health issues (not eating, etc.) require immediate attention.
- Because bunnies are fragile, startle easily, and usually don't want to be handled, they are not a good fit for small kids.
- They can be somewhat skittish but they are also fun. If patient and understand that bunnies get comfortable with people on their own terms, you'll make a bunny friend. Spending time on the floor with them and offering treats is a great way to bond with them.
- Bunnies MUST be housed indoors. RHDV-2, a highly contagious and fatal wild rabbit disease in now in Florida and transmitted in the ground. Domestic rabbits cannot tolerate the heat. They also need to be safe from predators and parasites like ear mites. They will be much happier being a part of the family, inside.
