Here's what the humans have to say about me:
They say dogs often take on the personality of the names given to them. In Ladybird’s case, it is certainly true. Named after Ladybird Johnson, Ladybird has certainly taken on some of the characteristics of her namesake. Shy, quiet and well educated, LB the K9 is the same! Birdie is shy and quiet and chooses to stay in the background while the other pups make a fool of themselves. Birdie is soft, elegant and super sweet once you coax her out of her shyness (she can be bribed with treats 😊). This friendly girl leans in for pets and cuddles. She loves soaking up the attention 😊 The wiggle in her body certainly lights up the room! Birdie is highly intelligent. Takes to training like fish to water. When she first came to us, she was not interested in toys. Our trainer taught her how to play ball and now she is obsessed with balls! She will fetch and drop it at your feet 😊 She also learned to sit and target in a day. She loves to harness up and go for car rides. Her favorite thing to do is put her head out the window and soak in the wind. She walks wonderfully on a leash.
Ladybird is about 2 years old, 65lbs German Shepherd. She is looking for a semi active home where there is an abundance of ball play, continuing education aka training of any sorts and a balance of outdoor adventures and indoor cuddles. She is wonderful in her crate. She is gentle with treats. One thing to note, Birdie can scale a 4ft, she will only do so just to be where her people are 😊 Doggie friends are welcome. Birdie is simply marvelous.
