Here's what the humans have to say about me:
\HI! My name is Onyx and I am a 5 year old male bulldog. My foster parents maybe think I have a little something more to me than plain bulldog, but that’s just one thing that makes me so unique! I have a rather slim waist, some may call me SNATCHED! So, my foster family is giving me some extra treats to help me bulk up (just a little!). I’ve been to the vet, which I totally didn’t mind because they talked to me like I was such a good boy and gave me so much love! They told me I was about 60lbs.
I’m starting to think that my foster family renamed me “sweet boy” or “good boy” because they say that to me ALL THE TIME! I guess one reason is that I am SUCH A GOOD LISTENER. I don’t mean to toot my own horn, but I’ve heard most bulldogs can be pretty stubborn and I am not (unless I’m sniffing on my walk of course then you will kinda need to pull me away). SPEAKING OF WALKS, I love them SO MUCH! If I don’t have a yard then I will at least need a couple walks a day! I love walks so much that I even start drooling! Some bulldogs drool for treats (don’t get me wrong, I do this too!) but I like to drool the most during my walks.
Even though I love walks so much I give my handler a WITTLE bit of a hard time because I do pull a little. I CANT HELP IT there’s just so many things to smell and I just get excited. I do better on a short leash. I also get excited when the humans come home from work!!!! So excited that sometimes I jump on them, but I do listen when my foster parents use a stern voice and tell me “NO!”. I immediately stop because, like I said, I’m a good listener and a real people pleaser!
My foster family has those small FLUFFY animal they call him a “bunny”. Since my first day I have been so interested in this small animal! I don’t want to eat him, I really just want to love him! He is definitely opening up to me being here and I think we may even be FRIENDS! I also had a kitty sibling at my last house and we were the best of pals. I know I would be good in a house with small animals, but I’m still not sure how I feel about other dogs… I like some but others I feel the need to bark or growl at… I’ve also met some smaller humans, called “toddlers” and I do really like them because they give me lots of pets! I think I would LOVE to have a Place to run around outside whether that be a backyard or a park!
