Age: 1 year
Breed: Coonhound/German Shepherd/Mix - 55 lbs
M/F: M
Spayed/Neutered/Shots: UTD on rabies, bordetella & dhlpp, up to date on heartworm prevention, neutered
Good with dogs, cats, and/or kids: all of the above but will most likely be a bit much to have direct access to small children unless ran before (very excitable)
Aggression or medical issues?: was born with a deformed paw but the vet does not see it needing any future medical care although it will put him more prone to arthritis (easily managed with joint food or supplements at a younger age). This doesn’t affect his daily life or energy level in the slightest, he will only hold it up after a lot of playing as I’m sure it tires out quicker. No aggression but is barrier reactive (will act like he will eat you through a pen if he doesn't know you well but once let out turns into a complete sweetheart)
House/crate trained?: yes to both
Additional info/story (personality):
He is extremely sweet with everyone and meets no stranger. He loves his outside time and playing. Would thrive best in a home with lots of attention or doggy friends to play with. Also a huge goofball. Does still jump when excited but is doing much better. Can pull quite hard on a leash as I don’t think he realizes his size. Was super gentle with the cats I introduced him to though. HIGH HIGH energy and loud bark due to breed mix.
Message/comment if interested. Make sure if you message me to include the animal’s name since I have a lot of rescues I am trying to help rehome at the moment. Adoption application & contract required to ensure good home.

We are foster based only at this time.

Meet and greets for cats are near impossible normally because we all foster/house both cats and dogs and the dogs "go off" when visitors come over making all the cats hide.

More about this rescue
In service of domestic animals in South Carolina, Frisky Business Rescue is a no-kill rescue that provides vital resources such as veterinary care, birthing assistance, medication, and rehoming or safe release (TNR) to the most vulnerable animals in the region. We specialize in animals with special circumstances that come from various backgrounds, including animal hoarding and abusive situations but primarily focus on vulnerable kittens, puppies, and pregnant/nursing dogs and cats. Before rehoming, we carefully screen new potential families to ensure the needs of our animals are met and that new homes will become furever homes.
