My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Don't be deceived by Everest's challenging past life on the street. Despite being abandoned and very ill before rescue, this charming dog is all love, incredibly clever, and playful. She loves walks, playing, being pampered, and, of course, treats. Everest has that touch of diva that makes her unique. Moreover, she enjoys spending time in the garden, exploring every nook with curiosity. Nothing delights her more than taking a nap on the sofa, where she finds ultimate comfort and tranquility.

She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys the company of children, but unfortunately cats are a no-go for Everest.

Everest is fostered in Ajijic, Mexico, and can be adopted locally or in the United States or Canada.

More about this rescue

Bone Voyage is a non-profit rescue group created to send Mexican dogs north to better homes. We work with the local shelters and with people in the Lake Chapala area that have many street dogs in their care.

We also assist individuals that find street dogs and don’t know what to do with them. We are all volunteers working together to try to minimize the amount of homeless dogs in the area.
