My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ski-Ba-Bop-Ba-Dop-Bop, say hello to Scatman John! This gentleman was brought in by a good samaritan because he was living in the hallway of an apartment building. He has been with other cats and is polite, he knows when to back down if another cat is unsure about him - but he does like to play! Scatman John has been in foster care recently and is willing to be picked up for short periods (although he doesn't LOVE it) and loves to follow people around. He can get underfoot sometimes so make sure you're watching where you walk., He is very food motivated and has even been taught to sit for food!

Scatman John is a little shy at first but he is very nice and likes pets. We think he would thrive in a home where an owner is willing to be patient with him and give him time to adjust.

Scatman John is FIV+ which does NOT require daily medications nor impact his quality of life. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) is ONLY passed through deep bite wounds between cats and cannot be passed to other animal species or humans. FIV kitties can live with, share food bowls, litter boxes, groom and wrestle with non FIV housemates with no risk of transmission.

Scatman John is an adult male who is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and test FIV positive and FELV negative. Due to being FIV+ he qualifies for our special needs adoption rate.
