Are you looking for a fun-loving and energetic pup who has a thirst for life? If so, Benji is your guy! Benji is a handsome 3-year-old non-shedding 19 lb Havanese/Lhasa Apso mix ready to meet his new family!
Mr. Benji loves going on walks, playing in the yard, and chilling out with his humans and foster siblings. Even though he would love to be a lap dog, Benji needs someone who will help him to maintain clear boundaries. He is house-trained, crate/puppy pen-trained, and sleeps quietly through the night in his crate.
Benji has learned a lot in terms of basic training, but he would still love to go to puppy classes with his new family. Training classes are a great way to bond, and he is a smart boy who thrives in a stimulating environment where he can learn new skills.
After getting to know Benji in foster, it is clear that he will do best in a household with strong human leaders. He will need someone who can provide him with consistent behavior expectations. If Benji sounds like he could be the perfect pup for you, please contact us!

SPOT was created to fill the need to save animals who “fall through the cracks” in our sheltering system. Local shelters are overwhelmed—they receive so many strays and owner turn-ins that they run out of space and have to kill thousands of animals each year. The majority of these animals are healthy and simply need to be placed into a home. Others are medical cases which require some work, but do not have life-threatening diseases or injuries. And a few have some moderate behavior issues; we work with specialists to correct these behaviors before finding them their forever home. The bottom line is SPOT can save these lives.
