I may be a senior dog, but my heart is as big as they come. I've had quite a journey, and I'm on the lookout for a special person who can understand and appreciate my unique personality.
I'll be the first to admit that I'm a bit lazy and goofy, and I love nothing more than lounging around and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. But there's more to me than meets the eye. I have a natural protective instinct, and sometimes I can be a little fearful, which is why I need someone confident and strong to guide me.
I've had some training at Dog Tales, and I'm ready to put it into practice with a patient and dedicated owner. I need someone who can provide constant guidance and use the training we've learned on a daily basis. With the right structure and routine, I can flourish.
When it comes to meeting new people, I need slow and controlled introductions, and I'll wear a muzzle for everyone's safety. It's not because I'm mean; it's just my way of saying that I need time to feel comfortable and secure.
Once I'm comfortable with someone, I'm a whole different dog. I'm affectionate, playful, and fiercely loyal. If you give me the time and space I need to trust you, you'll see just how loving and charming I can be.
If you're a confident and experienced dog owner looking for a big-hearted companion who just needs a little extra care and attention, I might be the perfect match for you. Together, we can navigate life's ups and downs and create a bond that's truly special.

Additional adoption info
Due to the high volume of applicants, we are only able to move forward with families that are ready to adopt now. If you aren’t ready to adopt now, please apply when you are ready to welcome a dog into your home. After your initial appointment, once the adoption has been approved, we will require the dog to be picked up within one week unless we determine otherwise.
Our hope is that all homes are a forever home, however we understand that circumstances can change, and that sometimes it just isn't the right fit. Whether you discover this three days after the adoption, or three years after the adoption, we will always welcome our dogs back with open arms. Their well-being is our top concern.
All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, examined by a vet, dewormed, given flea and tick prevention, groomed
Our adoption fees:
Under 1 year old (11 months or less) - $950
1-7 years old - $800
8+ years old - $500
Sanctuary - $50
Palliative* - $50
Special Needs* - $50
Bonded pairs - 30% off the total price
*For Palliative and Special Needs dogs we will discuss on a case by case basis what Dog Tales will cover financially, if applicable
