My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Sweet, shy young girl!

The shelter was very scary for little Chloe, a 3-year-old, 10-pound Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier mix, but she is really blossoming now that she is in a safe and loving foster home. Chloe is very playful, affectionate and is making great progress settling into home life.  She has some residual fears that she is overcoming and is not a fan of being left alone during the day. If you are home for most of the day, she could be the perfect companion for you. Chloe lays quietly on the chair next to her Foster Mom’s chair when she is working from home. With the right person (or family) who can guide her and give her all the room she needs to grow, Chloe will soon become your new best friend!  The leash is still new for her and she is beginning to get used to all the new sights and sounds of the neighborhood around her.  Chloe loves to play with her toys, sit on your lap and cuddle up next to you. She is really a lovebug! She is a riot when she runs over to the TV to watch when dogs are on the screen! She will also pick up her bed herself and move it to get a better view of what is happening on the TV!  At night Chloe sleeps happily in her crate near her humans and is happy to wait for her family to get her up in the morning, when the fun begins with a walk and breakfast! This sweet girl would love a home with either adults only or with older children who can give her time to settle in and become an active part of your family. If you are looking for a loving dog who will be your loyal companion, Chloe is it!

Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.

Go meet their pets

We operate Pup Plaza (www.pupplaza.org), Silicon Valley's first dog community center where we have weekly adoption events. If you are interested in meeting one of our adoptable dogs at Pup Plaza, please contact adoptions@svpetproject.org.

Kittens and dogs (and some cats) are in foster care with volunteers. After completing an application, a meet and greet can be arranged.
