Introducing Tippy

This beautiful 3 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix may have only 3 legs, but that doesn't hinder her at all. She arrived as part of a group of dogs whose person could no longer care for them, and is currently enjoying time in a foster home with an older blind dog, with whom she is generally respectful.

Tippy's three remaining legs are strong, and she is currently able to jump up onto the bed, and back down again. She loves to snuggle on the bed with her foster mom, and to sometimes follow her from room to room just to be close. Tippy is getting better about not jumping up for attention, and does best with raised food/water bowls.

She is a heavy chewer, does great with big raw beef bones, but has been able to chew off pieces of rubber balls and even heavy-duty Kongs, so should be supervised with most toys and given appropriate chewing items, like bully sticks or beef bones (no rawhide, please).

This girl has the big heart of a heeler with a somewhat lower energy level. She weighs around 50 pounds, and lived successfully with cats in her prior home.

All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Tippy - TRIPOD is a suggested minimum of $125 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.

Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
