My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Moth!

Moth is an 8-year-old Tortoiseshell girl who was adopted from a shelter 5 years ago. One of her people has developed serious allergies and now her family needs to find a loving home for her.

Her people say she enjoys being petted and will purr even just sitting next to them. Moth adores being brushed and will even brush herself against the brush if you hold it still.

Her people tried giving her lots of toys in the beginning; Moth would humor them for a bit, but she'd then let them know she was pretty neutral when it comes to toys. Catnip makes her grumpy! She really just wants loving attention.

Moth loves lying in the sunshine, and especially to have a warm lap and lie next to you in bed. She also loves to drink out of the faucet if you let it drip, and we're guessing she would love a kitty fountain.

She'll do best in a quiet, calm home with patient people who can give her lots of lovies.

Also, adopters should have a home where Moth can be the only animal, and with no small children. She's not much of a window kitty -- and her people guess it was just too traumatic for her outside before she was rescued and brought into safety.

Moth just really loves to snuggle and enjoys being petted and brushed. She needs people who can go slow and earn her trust.

She's a low maintenance kitty and is fully litter box-trained. She's a bit shy at first, but once she feels safe and comfortable, she'll warm up and relax with you. She's also declawed.

For more info and/or to apply to adopt Moth, send us an email at SummitDogRescue@gmail.com, telling us a bit about yourself, your home environment and your lifestyle. A volunteer will get back to you shortly. Thanks.
