AFORTUNADO
This handsome floof loves head scratches and pets all the way down his back. He is shy at first because he grew up on the streets of south Texas near the border with Mexico. Once he realizes that you feed him every day, then he comes out of his shell. This is his summer coat. He is even fluffier in the winter. Each cat will come to their new home neutered or spayed, with age-appropriate vaccines, individually tested negative for FeLV, FIV and heartworms, and microchipped.
They can travel along I-35 in Texas with rescue partner for a small donation. Transport is available to most southern states, CT, NY, PA, ME, NJ and a few other states for $175. All out of state adoptions/transport MUST have an Interstate Health Certificate by a qualified veterinarian for $85. We do not adopt out to Florida or California as those states have an abundance of Siamese needing placement within their respective states.

We check veterinary and personal references. Confirm residence/address.

Meet the Pet

Connect adopter with foster via Facebook Messenger. Foster arranges Meet and Greets.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

Sign final adoption contract. Enjoy your new pet. We provide post adoption support!

6.
Pay Fee

Fee must be paid @ soscatrescue.org/donate

7.
Take the Pet Home

Once contract has been signed and fee paid, then we can release the cat to go home.

Additional adoption info

We can arrange transportation to many states along the east coast, though Southern US, the Midwest, New England, PA, WI, ME, NH.
