MEET ANASTASIA!!!

Anastasia is a beauty. She came from the shelter and is working with a foster. Although her history is unknown, it seems like she had a family at one point because she knows basic commands like sit and come, and she walks great on a leash. She is even crate trained and will sleep in there all night if needed.

Anastasia is still very puppy like. She loves toys and stuffed animals, and she loves to chew on things which means you should keep your shoes away from her. Anastasia loves food and treats more than anything else which is great with training. She is a bit shy around meeting new people especially men. She gets very anxious around men, and her foster is working on training this behavior. However, this may require a more experienced handler. Don't let this discourage you because Anastasia is a quick learner who loves to play and cuddle. She is ready for her forever home!

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters will be required to complete our Adoption Application, read and sign our Adopting Policies and Procedures, and participate in a home visit by one of our adoption representatives. Our Adoption Application is located on our website: www.underdogaz.com.

We also have a mandatory two-week Foster With Intent to Adopt trial period for all animals in order to be certain the pet is a good fit for your family.

Our standard adoption fee for dogs is $200; puppies are $250.

Non-standard fees do sometimes apply. Puppies younger than six months may have a higher fee. Designer dogs, purebreds, and other toy type breeds may also have higher adoption fees than the standard $200.

We do, however, have discounted fees for dogs that are seniors, a pair of dogs adopted together, or cats. If you are a veteran or an active duty service member, please ask about our partnership with Pets For Patriots.

All Underdog pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to adoption.

We are a 501c3 non profit, your donations save lives and are 100% tax deductible.

Underdog Rescue of Az is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescuing and re-homing of abandoned and/or abused dogs.

We are a foster-based rescue, and do not maintain a physical base of operations. All of our animals are placed with loving, caring safe foster families until they are adopted. We are also an "All Breed" rescue, and do not discriminate based on breed, age, size, etc.

Underdog's mission also includes educating the public on the issue of animal welfare. We strive to promote shelter reform, spay and neuter education and emergency rescue information & assistance.
