My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you’re looking for a chill, cuddle buddy for life, Toby is the guy for you. Toby is a lovable sweetheart whose favorite spot will be next to you on the couch. Lounging, snoozing, and watching the world go by is all this boy needs to be content. Of course, he’ll want a couple of easy daily walks to get some fresh air and exercise, but he won’t need to run or do anything overly active – and then ... back to chillin’!

All Toby really wants is a life of leisure. He’ll do what he’s supposed to - perhaps with a mild protest on occasion - but even that takes too much energy. He’s house trained and crate trained, rarely barks and is unbothered by most noises. He does well at the vet and doesn’t mind being brushed. He’ll even let you dress him up in silly costumes, protesting would take too much effort – remember to thank him with plenty of belly rubs. The easier life is, the better for this sweet guy.

Toby is confident but curious about new situations, he might be a little shy at first, but he warms up very quickly. He tends to be submissive to other dogs, especially those more energetic than him, but again he will warm up quickly to other pets in your home.

Toby loves treats and food, you’ll know he’s hungry when he starts to drool. He loves kongs, bully sticks, and treat balls or puzzles. He will sniff out food anywhere, so secure cabinets will come in handy. He doesn’t love the car but can be put at ease with medication if need be.

Must know:
-Toby, 9.5 years old, Male, black, 98 lbs...a big boy with a big heart for ya!
-Dog friendly
-Cat friendly
-Kids 6+
-Med-low energy
-Health Concerns: Some arthritis in back legs but this has not impaired his mobility! Two small bumps on back, but the bumps were tested and they are sebaceous cyst, not cancerous at all. The Senior Blood Panel was great!
