My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet this handsome HUNK OF CUTENESS, GUNTHER! He came in as a stray January 6, 2024 and was never reclaimed so he’s now awaiting his adoption day. He is around 1 year old, current on shots, and full of puppy playfulness…has no idea he is such a BIG boy. Loves to play with a jolly boy and if he sees you looking at him it’s game on…ready to romp and play. Is smart and knows to sit on command and takes treats gently. Would do well in a home that can provide him with training (he’s smart and eager to please) just needs structure and commands & direction. Since he is a large and big guy he needs an owner that is strong and can handle him. A home without young kids is probably best since he’s so big and has no clue that he’s not 20 pounds. A young child could get knocked over very easily. Just wants to enjoy life, make his people happy and feel loved, and play play play. A home with a tall fenced in yard would be icing on the cake for Gunther. Stop by for a visit with him and see if he’s the perfect pooch for you.

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit orginization relying on donations. We do have a contract witht the county to provide shelter for strays brought in. We have limited space but try to get our animals back to thier families and if that can not be accomplished we work hard on finding them new homes.
We do what we do because we love animals. We are realistic in in efforts, understand the problem and work towards educating the public on what needs to be done to prevent over population.
