My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Ebbie (pronounced E-B), and I am 2 1/2 years old. Fun fact: I am named after the school where I was found! The Pitbull in me makes me super cuddly and a big baby, but the Blue Heeler keeps me -energetic, funny, and super smart! In fact, in addition to all of my basic commands, I also know: "ball" means to go find a toy so we can play together, "clean" means that it is time for a bath, and "bed" means it's time to go to sleep! These are my favorite words!  I am so smart!  I know them all!

I have graduated from behavior training, and when I am properly introduced to a dog, I can play and have so much fun! The same goes for when I am introduced to people! I am so sweet and need a home where I will be loved and given attention.

I would do best with someone who lives in a quiet area and not an apartment, because I get overwhelmed by so many distractions. I need someone who can be patient with me because I am very afraid of other dogs unless I am properly introduced to them. I would prefer a big backyard rather than going to a crowded park because I feel very stressed when there is too much going on."  I am super sweet and affectionate.  You will love my my foster Mom says!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Thank you for adopting and not buying!!! Every week hundreds of highly adoptabledogs are put to death by local shelters. Most people would be amazed at the purebred and beautiful dogs available, if they walked into their neighborhood shelter.

Rescue organizations, like mine, work hard to save as many as we possibly can but is a never ending process with breeders and Puppy Mills selling unhealthy animals to the public. If you EVER saw a puppy mill you would NEVER buy again!

All of my dogs are neutered or spayed, vet checked, completely vaccinated, wormed, groomed and checked for heart worms. They are all are current on Heart worm medicine, flea, and tick medications. They are all microchipped as well.

Adoption fee is $300 to $350 (older "friends' can be less, please inquire. Puppies are $350 - Besides fully vetting all dogs, some of of the dogs I rescue, 1 in 5 I rescue have heart worms which is very expensive to treat. I also take in dogs who need surgeries and are close to death.

More about this rescue

About us: Cody was the first pet I owned as an adult. He was a Shih Tzu that I bought unknowingly, from a Puppy Mill. He fought for his life and barely survived, suffering for the first few months of his life. From then on I was stirred by a ferocious passion to save as many dogs as I could through networking with other rescue groups and saving the ones I could off of cold streets and unwanted in shelters. Cody did not live a very long life due to a weakened body, but I was able to love on him for eight good years! He will always be loved and forever remembered. With over 400 dogs rescued so far, we ARE making a difference!!
Thank you for visiting and considering a rescue........................
