My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is  Shadow.  He is a  two year old border collie Shepard mix, i’m weighing 55-60 pounds.  He was surrendered by his owner with Bane.  He gets a bit  nervous around new people and need some time to trust, due to his past.  He was abused and then  surrendered.  Given some time to trust he will be the best dog.  . He would probably be best in a home with older children if any, I have some  energy, and would probably do best in a house with a yard.   Shadow is all about play!!! he loves to play with anything! he even plays with the treats we give him. He is the biggest sweetheart when he warms up and loves to get cuddles and have all the toys in the world. He would most likely love to go on hikes or even runs.  What a cute dog that is so deserving of a home to show him he is worthy of love!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Thank you for adopting and not buying!!! Every week hundreds of highly adoptabledogs are put to death by local shelters. Most people would be amazed at the purebred and beautiful dogs available, if they walked into their neighborhood shelter.

Rescue organizations, like mine, work hard to save as many as we possibly can but is a never ending process with breeders and Puppy Mills selling unhealthy animals to the public. If you EVER saw a puppy mill you would NEVER buy again!

All of my dogs are neutered or spayed, vet checked, completely vaccinated, wormed, groomed and checked for heart worms. They are all are current on Heart worm medicine, flea, and tick medications. They are all microchipped as well.

Adoption fee is $300 to $350 (older "friends' can be less, please inquire. Puppies are $350 - Besides fully vetting all dogs, some of of the dogs I rescue, 1 in 5 I rescue have heart worms which is very expensive to treat. I also take in dogs who need surgeries and are close to death.

More about this rescue

About us: Cody was the first pet I owned as an adult. He was a Shih Tzu that I bought unknowingly, from a Puppy Mill. He fought for his life and barely survived, suffering for the first few months of his life. From then on I was stirred by a ferocious passion to save as many dogs as I could through networking with other rescue groups and saving the ones I could off of cold streets and unwanted in shelters. Cody did not live a very long life due to a weakened body, but I was able to love on him for eight good years! He will always be loved and forever remembered. With over 400 dogs rescued so far, we ARE making a difference!!
Thank you for visiting and considering a rescue........................
