MEET GOOSE!!

Goose is a young, energetic boy who LOVES attention and is super affectionate. He is also afraid of kids and strangers. Goose is super smart and learns new things quickly!

Goose is already housebroken AND doggy door trained! He'll do best in a home with a doggy door. He is very active and likes to swim and play fetch, so Goose will do best in an ACTIVE home. He would do GREAT with someone who's a runner, hiker, or jogger. He still has a lot of the weimie rambunctious traits, so he will need an adopter willing to continue his general obedience traing. If you are looking for an active partner, Goose is for you!

He has done well with other small dogs, but he doesn't get along with other dogs that are bigger. So no dogs or only small dogs in the home. Goose does tend to be a bit shy and timid, so he'd do best in a home with older kids (8+). Since he is so shy, he does take time to warm up to strangers.

All potential adopters will be required to complete our Adoption Application, read and sign our Adopting Policies and Procedures, and participate in a home visit by one of our adoption representatives. Our Adoption Application is located on our website: www.underdogaz.com.

We also have a mandatory two-week Foster With Intent to Adopt trial period for all animals in order to be certain the pet is a good fit for your family.

Our standard adoption fee for dogs is $200; puppies are $250.

Non-standard fees do sometimes apply. Puppies younger than six months may have a higher fee. Designer dogs, purebreds, and other toy type breeds may also have higher adoption fees than the standard $200.

We do, however, have discounted fees for dogs that are seniors, a pair of dogs adopted together, or cats. If you are a veteran or an active duty service member, please ask about our partnership with Pets For Patriots.

All Underdog pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to adoption.

We are a 501c3 non profit, your donations save lives and are 100% tax deductible.

More about this rescue

Underdog Rescue of Az is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescuing and re-homing of abandoned and/or abused dogs.

We are a foster-based rescue, and do not maintain a physical base of operations. All of our animals are placed with loving, caring safe foster families until they are adopted. We are also an "All Breed" rescue, and do not discriminate based on breed, age, size, etc.

Underdog's mission also includes educating the public on the issue of animal welfare. We strive to promote shelter reform, spay and neuter education and emergency rescue information & assistance.
