My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hiya! I’m Bubby, aka Mr. Steal Your Toy- a boisterous boy bully. They say I’m 6 years old but let me tell you, I’m young at heart and I can play ALL day. Despite all my playfulness, the vet told me I need to go on a diet. Guess I won’t be letting her play with any of my toys! Besides being a ball of energy and having the most beautiful brown eyes, I’m fully vaccinated, potty trained, microchipped, neutered, and heartworm-free. As far as I’m concerned, it doesn’t get much better than that so I’m not sure why my former owner surrendered me. I was fortunate enough to be taken in temporarily by my former owner’s friend but that home had a dog who didn't like me too much so here I am, looking for my forever home…preferably one with a mega zillion toys!!

You may have gathered by now that the way to my heart isn’t through that monthly heart worm pill my foster parents have been giving me, it’s through toys! Ropes, balls, rings, bones, and other shapes they didn’t teach me in puppy school; you name it, I’ll chew it! While I may not sleep all day every day like a traditional bully (that would be so boring for me), I sleep all the way through the night in my crate. Play hard, sleep hard, am I right? When I’m not sleeping or playing, you might find me handling my routine bully cleaning like a champ. Okay well sometimes I do try to run away…but my foster parents always catch me and then I’m really good for them while they clean my tail pocket and wrinkles. I also really like baths but don’t tell my foster brother because that would be totally not cool.

Given all the energy I have, there are times when I get a little too playful with my foster brother and try to steal his toys. Apparently, there are enough toys to share but I just find that hard to believe. Sometimes, my foster parents take away my toy bin but fortunately I’m super smart and always know where they hide it so I can bark at the door that’s hiding the toys, letting my foster parents know I’m not very happy with them. I guess that’s another thing I’m supposed to be working on…listening when I’m told “no”. I just really prefer to be the one saying “no”, like when my foster mom tries to take me on walks. No thanks, I’m not interested in those. But my perfect forever home will help me work on these things and love me no matter what!

My forever home would be one with plenty of space inside for me to play with my toys and have my new family chase me around, whether in the city or a more rural location. A bonus would be a yard but I’m willing to concede that in exchange for extra toys. Another dog, cats, or kids who have some energy to play with me would be great. I don’t love the stairs but have been getting much better at the ones my foster parents have.

Well as you may have guessed, I’ve been apart from my toys for too long now.

Chew ya later,
Bubby
