Meet Roger!

This little guy is a detective in training. He is currently working on two ongoing cases:

There's been a squirrel sighting in his backyard and he's determined to find him and put him behind barks! He patrols the yard until he knows that his family is safe; and, sometimes, that means when his family tells him it's time to come inside.

His other case is known as "The Case of the Curious Humans." He's intent on observing the strange habits of his people. He follows them closely until they tell him to stop, then it's time to patiently observe from a distance. This is his favourite case because you never know when they'll want a cuddle or drop a treat.

When he's off the clock, Roger loves to play as much as he loves to sleep. His favourite way to play is by himself, but he's also coming to enjoy playing with his foster sister (a much larger dog); although he's still learning to be gentle when he plays, he responds well to corrections when he gets excited.

His favourite place to nap is wherever his humans are! After all, someone should be nearby if they suddenly need to urgently rub a belly, scratch a chin, or become desperately cuddle deficient. But when it's bedtime, Roger settles into his self-made blanket fort inside of his crate for a restful night.

Roger is food (and toy!) motivated, which makes him an ideal training buddy. He already knows "sit," and "paw," and he's learning "out" quickly as well. He can't wait to meet his forever family and learn even more commands and eat even more treats!

Roger also loves going on walks, he's a very energetic boy. He is calm on the leash until he catches sight of a lead on the squirrel investigation. He's always got two eyes (and one ear!) open for any signs of trouble. He needs someone on the other end of the leash to give him a firm signal that his shift is over and it's time to relax and have some fun! (don't we all?)

This little goofball can't wait to build a new fort in his furever home and meet the Watson to his Sherlock! Is it you??
