Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please help Little Guy find his Forever Home.
Little Guy has been in foster for about three months. He has made amazing strides in a lot of ways. He is a gentle, smart boy, loves other dogs, and is food motivated. He loves his foster animal friends Tara and Tito who are Anatolian Shepherd mixes. Little Guy follows Tito around everywhere he can, and loves to lay on the bed with Tara. He is house trained, is good with being in a crate, and has a healthy appetite. He walks well on a leash and comes when called to within a foot or two of his foster parents.
He is smart and knows if he's getting love and food and feeling safe, is the most important thing for the little guy. He may be a bit nervous and will need patience and a lot of love. He eats treats out of hands now, and lets people pet his nose while treating. Little Guy has been sleeping on his foster's bed, and likes to snuggle up against their legs. Lots of positive progress in the few months!
He is a brave lad, full of character and amazes that he is learning to trust humans again.
As much as his foster likes the little guy, they feel he will be best served being adopted in to his forever home with someone who has lots of time for him, and who also has at least one other dog.
Little Guy is currently in a foster home. If you're interested in him, please email KSwanson@cityofberkeley.info. First, we’ll set up a virtual meeting with their current foster family via phone, Zoom, or Facetime, to provide you with more detailed information. Then, if you feel that Little Guy might be a good adoption fit, shelter staff will gladly coordinate an up-close and personal meet and greet with your potential family member. Thank you for your support!
