My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey, my name is Famous Amos. Just like the cookies I'm super sweet and you will love me. If you are interested in a 50-pound lap dog look no further; I am your man. I love going on walkies with my humans and will be the best good boy. You want hugs, I got em, you want a running partner, that's me, you want a snuggler, that's me, sloppy kisses- I'm in! I do want a big yard to play in to keep myself in shape to be your forever boy. Come take me home. You won't regret it.

More about this shelter

The mission of the St. Croix Animal Welfare Center is to provide and promote the humane treatment of animals on the island of St. Croix through humane education, animal protection and community service. Founded in 1973, the AWC is the only animal shelter on St. Croix. The AWC takes in and cares for more than 3,000 unwanted, abandoned, abused and neglected dogs and cats each year. Our longtime facility was destroyed in Hurricane Maria in 2017; we are now located in two temporary locations in the LaGrande Princesse area of St .Croix.
