My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Daphne!

Active senior seeking active partner!

Daphne, a 50 pound brown and white spayed female Labrador Retriever mix, has contagious optimism. No one told her there were rules about seniority. If they did, she ignored them. She mirrors the mood of the day and those around her; peaceful and calm, or excitedly playing and catching balls like a professional, and has even done well camping! In foster care, her favorite place to be is by your side with her person. Seeking a calm home that will take her on walks; thrives on consistency and structure. Is crate trained. Daphne is smart, learns commands quickly.

Best as an only dog; Is successfully learning good leash manners; calm with some dogs but reactive to others. In good health, recent dental work completed; up to date on inoculations, on a special needs senior diet.

More about this rescue

Our primary goal is retention both for dogs whose owners are seeking to surrender their pets and for shelter dogs without owners post adoption. We provide or help find needed resources for owners considering surrender and provide post adoption support for new adopters. All dogs receive training prior to adoption. We do not do volume adoptions.
