Diamond is one of six parakeets that are available for adoption. Each parakeet is 3-years old and a true gem.

If you are looking for a solo singer you can't go wrong with Diamond. Want a chorus? Adopt any or all of Diamond's friends. Emerald, Sapphire, Gold, Platinum and Peridot.

Fun fact about parakeets: They have as many as 3,000 feathers on their bodies.

All our animals available for adoption are living in foster homes. This gives us the ability to really get to know the animals we have available and find them families that are a good fit for them based on their personalities. We do not have a shelter to visit the animals.

More about this rescue

We rescue animals from shelters where they may be put to sleep and also owner relinquished pets. We also provide pet therapy services, where we go to nursing homes with pets and provide educational programs to the general public. For more information, visit www.aear.org
