I got my name when I came into rescue, and they thought I had lost an ear! It wasn't gone, just so damaged from my days on the street, that it doesn't stand up anymore. I am a Turkish Angora, and have such an interesting story! I was imported to the US for breeding purposes, but was tossed out onto the streets of Hamtramck after I wasn't the cat they expected me to be. I wasn't doing too well on the streets, and was lucky enough to be found before I got too sick.
I am such a happy guy now that I'm neutered! I love to play with toys, make biscuits, and roll around. I am really thankful to be safe and warm and in a foster home. I have been combo tested TWICE to make sure I didn't pick up any diseases during my fights, and negative both times!! I am vaccinated now too!
I'm not sure if I'll want a house with other cats and dogs. I think it would be situational, and that a meet and greet or trial period might be needed. I just don't want to get beat up ever again, and lose more than my ear folding! I'm open to trying out living with nice kitties after having positive experiences in my foster home so far, but please talk to my foster mom about this further!
Thanks for listening!

PAWER hosts adoption events each month! They are typically at our building in Trenton, but we have partnered with senior citizen homes, pet stores, apple orchards, and other businesses across downriver. We set up meet and greets for anybody interested, so you do not have to wait until one of our adoption events.

More about this rescue
PAWER, Providing Animals With Emergency Resources, is a 501c3 that is based in Trenton. We provide a pet food bank each month, to help families going through hard times. We specialize in neonatal and injured cats, along with other small animals. At times, we have dogs and exotic animals as well. We partner with many local Animal Control Offices, to help animals they come across, that may not do well at local shelters, due to the experience we have. We love helping and giving back to the community, and we were able to adopt over 150 animals into their forever homes during 2023.
