My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Bug, the Heartthrob Hound! 💖🐕

Hey, pawsome pals! I'm Bug, a stunning fawn and white beauty, around 2 years old, and already living the spayed life. 🌸 With a muscular physique that's sure to turn heads, I'm not just a dog—I'm a canine superstar! ✨

Guess what? I've got the whole housebroken thing down, and I'm a social butterfly, getting along swimmingly with my fellow furry friends. 🐾

To make sure I stay the picture of health, my caretakers are making sure I'm up-to-date on vaccinations. It's a small effort for a lifetime of tail wags and cuddles! 🐶💕

Quick note: While the adoption fee covers lots of goodies, these extra measures (vaccinations) aren't included. So, my future family, get ready to invest in a lifetime of Bug love! 🌈🎁

For those ready to make me their Valentine, our email is on a little break, but fear not! Just give Animal Control a ring at 618-327-9471 or shoot a message on our Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100064739284772

Let's make this Valentine's Day unforgettable—adopt Bug, and let the love fest begin! 💘🐾 #AdoptBug #ValentinesPup #BugLoveBug

More about this shelter

At Washington County IL Animal Control, our mission is to rescue stray animals, rehome unwanted dogs and cats, reduce feral cat populations using TNR programs, and find kind and loving homes for all needy pets. We are a team of compassionate, professional, and determined individuals who are committed to improving the lives of animals in our community.

We do our very best to match pets with their forever family. Interested adopters are welcomed into our facility to meet the animals. One on one meetings are held in a safe, comfortable environment for the animals. Prior to adopting any pets out, we do require a meeting between current pets and the potential adoptee. Paperwork can be completed inside. Upon signature of paperwork, Nashville Animal Clinic is contacted to set an appointment for the new pet. They are then transferred for the following care as needed: Spay/neuter, microchipping, vaccine updates. After the adopter has paid for the performed medical care, they may take their new family member home.

Washington County Animal Control is located in Nashville Illinois. We scan all animals for a chip and do our best to locate their owners. If no one has come forward within the holding period, the animal will be put up for adoption.
