My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This distinguished gentleman is looking to settle by a fireplace and watch a good TV show with his people!

Bruno is a loving, cuddly, dapper little gentleman ready to steal your heart, and your seat on the couch. He loves being around his people, and to watch you do just about anything. He would love to continue the rest of his days getting lots of love and good petties for being the bestest boy. He will immediately nuzzle into your arm to show you how much he loves and appreciates you. Bruno has started offering us the toys he sees on the ground, to say ""look at this cute fuzzy thing in my mouth!"" and then cuddle up with it.

Bruno does have medical conditions that we are treating. He was diagnosed with Cushing Disease, meaning that he drinks a lot of water throughout the day, has some skin issues (not contagious), and needs to wear a diaper at all times. He will remain on Vetoryl to help treat his Cushings. Because of his disease, he is relatively low energy but with medication, he is perking up more! We have seen him slowly climb stairs, and strut his stuff with more gusto. He currently has an ulcer in his left eye that we are treating and it's healing slowly but surely.

He would do best in a home with lots of rugs or carpet, and a home with few stairs (or assistance getting up stairs). Bruno doesn't need a lot of outdoor space, though he does love a good romp in the grass. He would do fine with other low energy dogs. We have not seen him around cats.

His foster has agreed to donate any useful accessories to his future adopters (diapers, reusable diapers, dog suspenders, medication).
