Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Monica! She is a sweet 6 year old Lab/Basset who weighs about 50lbs. I am great with everyone! Kids, dogs, etc.!
Monica is the bestest girl and she cannot wait to have a family of her own. She understands a lot of English, including sit, shake, go to your bed and go outside. She is house trained and always lets us know when needs to go out. She is very laid-back and enjoys sitting with her humans, and can often be found burrowed under the blankets in a dog bed. She is crate trained, although she is such a good girl that we often don't crate her if we aren't going to be gone for long. She loves running in the backyard and enjoys playing. Monica does need to work on her leash manners. She may try counter surfing, however she stops and redirects to a new activity the moment she is told 'no'. She stands 16 inches high at the shoulder, and 33 inches from nose to base of tail - a perfectly-sized medium dog.
Monica's pictures may make her look stern--but we promise she is a happy happy girl. She is wise beyond her years. We cannot understand why she say in a shelter for over 6 months, as she is the perfect house guest. Looking for a dog but want to bypass the puppy stage, this is your girl!
Monica is spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped, and heartworm negative.
