What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Gareth is a big, gorgeous, sassy lady, with tons of personality. She is a Siberian mix, and so is relatively low-shedding and hypoallergenic. She can take a long time to warm up to people, but when she does she can be a real lover. Very food-motivated, and loves to sit at the window watching birds, chase little spring toys, and sleep.
Gareth suffers from Irritable Bowel Disease, so requires a special hydrolyzed diet and daily medication, typically administered in her wet food. Total cost is about $60/month.
She's a beautiful feline with a spunky attitude and will do well in a space where she can lounge, admire and be admired, and be her lovely sassy self with no other cats to contend with. She's had a good experience living with a dog.
I am sad to have to rehome her, but I recently moved in with my partner and her beloved cat, and we've tried hard to make it work but Gareth and the other cat simply don't get along. I'd prefer to rehome her with someone in the Portland area.
