My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Twizzler is a playful and happy gal. She LOVES food, playing with her human, and going for long walks to get her yaya's out! Twizzler is dog selective. Some dogs she likes and some dogs she is not too fond of. She came to us as a stray, so we don't know much about her history. Is Twizzler the one for you? The fee to adopt Twizzler is $175.00. **Appointments and completed dog adoption applications are required for dog meet and greets, so please call the Shelter at 541-265-0720 to speak with a staff member about the animal you are interested in adopting. **All adoption candidates have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated and wormed! Adoptions include a free veterinary visit, a coupon for Feed Corral on Hwy 101, and a coupon from Mini Pet Mart. If you live in Lincoln County and have dogs in the home, they must be licensed in Lincoln County (requires current rabies vaccination) and do a meet and greet here at the shelter. If you rent, you would need permission from your landlord to have a pet. Phone messages and emails will be returned in the order they are received. You may reach us at 541-265-0720 or lcanimalshelter@co.lincoln.or.us for more information.

Meet Our Animals
To meet an animal at our Shelter, please make an appointment by calling 541-265-0720. One of our friendly Animal Care Specialists will work with you to find a good match for your family. Please bring all members of your family (including dogs if you are adopting another dog; dogs must also be licensed) for a socially distance appropriate meet and greet. If you rent, we will need landlord permission for the adoption.

How Do the Animals Come to Us?
Animals come to us lost as strays, surrendered by owners, or in protective custody due to abuse or neglect. We place all of our adoptable animals in homes or in the Second Chance Program (transporting to a rescue organization or another shelter), and we never euthanize animals for space. We provide extensive medical treatment, thanks to our Medical Fund, and all possible behavior modification training to give every animal their chance at a new life.

Keep Visiting Us!
If you don't find your perfect match with us right away, our Animal Care Specialists are willing to provide you with additional resources. You may also sign up for an alert through Adopt a Pet that will let you know when a new potential pet is posted.
