Carter is a 11 month old Dutch Shepherd and Kelpie mix. He was found with his sister Carmen running the Tulsa streets and found himself on the euthanasia list with his sister
Carmen. Carter weighs 32 pounds and loves people and other dogs. Carter and the foster kitty were not fans of each other so he would do best in a home without cats. Carter is very busy but is a little more reserved than his sister Carmen. He loves small children and has done so well around them. He is doing well on housetraining, and any accident he has had is no fault of his own. The foster lives in an upstairs apartment and works chaotic hours so sometimes he has to hold it in for longer than he should. She places puppy pads around the apartment which he uses every time so I think with easier access to a yard he is easily housebroken. Carter loves toys and loves his ball the most as of recently. He carries it in his mouth everywhere he goes and will bring it to bed with him. Carter would do best with someone with an active lifestyle because he is still a puppy. Carter is also crate trained and sleeps in a crate at night. The foster feels he would also love to sleep in bed if someone is set up for that!
