My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Diamond is an extremely sweet and friendly 38 lb, female, 2 year-old blue nose pitbull. Found as a stray in Indiana, she is looking for a loving forever home with a new family. Named for a white, diamond-shaped fur patch on her neck, Diamond is a soft cuddle bug who loves to just hang out with her foster parents all day long. She is happy with a walk a day, a few bones to chew, and a little attention. Warning - Diamond will burrow herself under your blankets in order to be as close to you as possible! Diamond is housetrained and crate trained, and she comes to you quickly when called.

She is easily excitable, so we would recommend that there are no small children or fragile adults in the home. However, she does appear to love children and has been happy to receive lots of pets from all children, so we believe that she would do well in a home with kids 7-8+ years old. As for other dogs, Diamond has been friendly with her foster parents’ dogs, and she does best with dogs who are more submissive or non-reactive. She very rarely barks on her own accord, but she will bark back and stand her ground if another dog barks at her. To set her up for success, Diamond would benefit from intentional set-ups to meet other pups.

Diamond is being walked on a harness, and she is doing great at learning loose-leash walking. This girl is highly smart, treat-motivated and loves positive reinforcement training! She is eager to please her humans, and you will be greeted by the wiggliest butt every time she sees you. Her foster parents can easily see her being an amazing family pet! It won’t take long for you to fall in love with her.

She is up to date on all of her vaccines, microchipped, spayed, and is heartworm negative. If you would like to meet this dog please call Teri at 630-897-7454. The adoption fee is $225.

Adoption fee includes:
- microchip
- spay/neuter
