What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
It is with a heavy heart that I am looking to rehome my beautiful foxhound mix, June. It has been such a joy watching this sweet girl learn to be loved (and discover the wonders of indoors—television, couches, BLANKETS!), but my chronic illness is preventing me from giving her the life that I know she deserves. I think she would really love a household with active kids—she loves running around the yard and playing fetch (and is even learning how to swim!).
She’s potty trained, crate trained, responsive on a leash, is slowly coming around to the idea of cuddling, and we train together every day. She is INCREDIBLY intelligent and picks up on new commands extremely quickly. I’m looking for someone to continue working with her so she can be her best self! The only requirement I have is that her new owner have a yard, as she is still learning that other dogs on our walks are ok, and that she is safe. For that reason, I don't think apartment living would suit her.
