Lance is currently at USP Marion for a 12-week training program. He will graduate the end of May. If you are interested in meeting Lance once he graduates, please get your application in at www.stfrancis-care.org/adopt.
This handsome boy is Lance. He's a 54 lb, young adult, male, Beagle mix He originally came to St Francis in Sept of 2021 as a young pup. Adopted in Oct of 2021. As his new family grew he didn't understand that tiny hoomans require different interactions. Consequently he was returned in Jan of 2024.
Lance is looking for an individual or family that can meet his energy needs. Someone who likes to take long walks in the mountains, on the beach or, heck, just down the sidewalk.
He started scent training with his prior family. He is good with cats and other dogs, and was fully housetrained.
It is recommended he live in a home with no children under 10 because in his exuberance he could accidently knock them down.
With him being so smart, active, and still quite young he might make a great hunting companion.
