Eugene came to us from the streets, he was chipped but no one ever came back to get him. He may look a little rough like a junkyard dog, but his beauty is in his heart. Eugene is a gentle giant, likely American Bulldog mix, who prefers to cuddle in his senior years. Eugene is very low energy. He is happiest when someone is sitting or laying down so he can join. He sometimes needs a shove to go out into the cold. A laid back family, that is home often, and doesn’t mind dogs on the furniture would be the best home for him.
Eugene is the perfect family dog. He is good with kids and other dogs! Eugene is just motivated to be a part of the family. His loyalty is palpable. You won’t find a sweeter, gentle dog. As an added bonus, Eugene has giant noggin and gives the wettest smooches. When it comes to other dogs, he is pretty indifferent. He prefers his humans, but will cuddle with the pack just to be a part of something.
He loves kids just like he loves his adult humans. Eugene is just happy to get attention and patient with the little ones as they learn to be gentle. Eugene does have a minor heart condition that requires a special diet and a medication.
