This helps Malinois and Dutch Shepherd Rescue, Inc. with pet care costs.
Goose is a sweet, goofy, typical Dutch Shepherd. He has quite a bit of stranger suspicion, but immediately warms up to confident strangers.
He has some basic obedience skills and he loves to learn. He's extremely handler engaged and food motivated. He could make a good rally-o dog in the hands of an experienced handler. He's quiet in a crate and travels well. He lacks socialization, but we've been working on place training and people watching and he improves constantly. Low drive, medium energy.
He's not comfortable around other dogs, so he'll need a dog free home or someone experienced with doing crate and rotate. Not fond of younger children. Untested around small animals, but likely not safe.
All MAD dogs come with a Fi Collar and one-year subscription.
If you are interested in adopting this pet please complete an application at this link https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/24689/generic.
We are an official 501c3 organization that does not have a physical location. Our home address is in Michigan, however, the majority of our dogs are not located in Michigan. We do provide transport assistance up to 350 miles. The applicant must drive the remainder of the distance of the transport.
The basic information that we have available is in our posting, but sometimes fosters will post updates on the MAD Rescue Facebook page as well, https://www.facebook.com/groups/malinoisanddutchshepherdrescueinc.
