My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ABOUT: WINSTON is a 9 lb, white/cream min pin/chihuahua mix. He came to us from a high-kill shelter in Nogales, AZ and his time was up.

Adoption fee: There is no adoption fee for Winston, but we would appreciate a donation.

UNIQUE QUIRKS: Winston keeps us laughing. He does not like his tail and we have not figured out why. Sometimes, he gets very mad at it and starts a fight with his tail, We just tell him to stop and it will go away and he stops. These episodes are rare now, but sometimes, he has PTSD..

PERSONALITY: WINSTON is a devoted one-person dog. He likes to cuddle and sleeps under the covers on cold nights. He is a great foot warmer. He gets along well with other dogs and is OK with cats. We are not sure about children. He seems housetrained, we rarely guarantee perfect potty skills, so be prepared for occasional puddles at first. Winston is very smart and will quickly train you on his wants and needs..

Winston is NOT a barker, but will join in if the other dogs bark. He does not necessarily need a doggie companion, but will get along well with another friendly comparable size dog.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
POTTY HABITS: We NEVER guarantee perfect potty habits. Age or breed has no bearing on potty training habits. Most rescue dogs are NOT potty trained due to negligence of the former owner. RoRescue tries to start some preliminary potty training habits, but the adopter will need to continue this type of training.
We do NOT adopt to out-of area or out of state locations.
RORESCUE puts their heart and soul into each dog and our vet bills are high. We do our best to provide you with a dog that will fit your needs. All our volunteers have full time jobs. We try to respond asap to your inquiries, but sometimes we slip, please be patient with us. We are usually "picking up poop" or running to the vet.
All RoRescue DOGS are vet checked, spayed/neutered, microchipped and UTD on shots. Full blood panel/Valley Fever/Tick Fever/Heartworm testing is NOT customarily done, unless veterinary suggested
