My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ron Caspian! Age: 1 Weight: 55lbs
Caspian is a warrior. This sweet, gentle boy has been through the worst life could possibly throw at him, and he has never given up on himself or the people who've been there to help him. He hasn't lost any of his loving, happy personality either. One of Caspian's major challenges is that he came to us with severe damage to both eyes. With the expert care of several dedicated veterinarians and their teams, Caspian's eyes were saved. Damage had already been done, though. Caspian can see some shadows, but he is now mostly blind. That certainly hasn't kept him from making friends at the shelter and enjoying life. Caspian does everything our other dogs do: multiple walks a day, obedience training sessions, doggie playgroup, and (of course) one-on-one time for scratches and snuggles. Caspian has fantastic hearing, and when he hears you coming towards him, he gives full-body love wiggles. As amazing as Caspian is, his adopter must be willing to make adjustments for him and commit to life-long medical support for his special needs. Caspian will need extra time to adjust to new spaces and people, and additional guidance on walks is necessary to keep him safe and from injury. Caspian will also need long-term medication for his eyes. If Caspian has caught your eye, please complete an online application and indicate your interest in him. A staff member will call you to further discuss this very special dog.
