Milkbone is a handsome guy looking for a quiet home to relax and decompress in after being in the shelter. He has found the shelter a bit stressful and can be reserved when meeting new people. When Milkbone arrived at the shelter, he was unsure of us and the leash. Until we gave him a Milkbone, then he became our BFF! With a lot of time and yummy snacks, he is improving every day! He will benefit from continued reward-based training with lots of patience and TLC to help him come out of his shell to learn new skills. Milkbone is the biggest baby once he is comfortable. If you have other dogs in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet with Milkbone before taking him home. OUR MISSION: It is the mission of the Fairfield County Dog Adoption Center & Shelter to provide an environment of continuous improvement; emphasizing excellent service and safety for the community; providing the dogs and people of Fairfield County protection, care, and compassion with innovative, yet sustainable means; all while maintaining a standard of the utmost integrity.
It is the purpose of the Fairfield County Dog Adoption Center and Shelter to embrace the dogs of the community; to keep lost or adoptable dogs safe until they can find their way home; to protect Fairfield County through the enforcement of Section 955 of the Ohio Revised Code , and to continue to provide the community with education opportunities on the importance of pet safety and population control.
