Looking for a furry companion to add to your family? Meet Ghost, a 4-year-old pup who needs a special foster home or adopter who can understand his need for a quiet space. He ended up at a local shelter as part of a cruelty/ hoarding case, but quickly won the hearts of staff and volunteers. Ghost has some wonderful attributes and a loving personality that will make you fall in love with him. He is a very affectionate dog who loves human touch and loves to be near you. He is a great leash walker and is very dog tolerant on leash, but we are still learning about how social he can be interacting with other dogs. Medically, he was treated for heartworm in the past, but is well now. He is missing some teeth, but that doesn’t keep him from having a hearty appetite! Because of his past, he is considered special needs in terms of needing that quiet environment where he can just relax and enjoy your company. Can you be his person?

An approved application, vet reference, personal reference check and home visit are required to finalize an adoption. We suggest a $200 donation that helps offset some of our expenses such as feeding, boarding, training, vaccinations, spay/neuter, and miscellaneous veterinary costs.
Adoption fees are used to continue to help homeless animals in need!

More about this rescue
Adopt a Homeless Animal Rescue (AAHA) is a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and assisting animals in crisis. We actively combat animal cruelty in any form.
We have a particular commitment to pit bulls and aim to raise awareness about the breed, help those in need, and educate the public:
•We seek to promote this lovely yet unfairly maligned breed as the sweet, intelligent, affectionate, and people-oriented dogs they are.
•We assume stewardship over their well-being and strive to make this world a better place for them.
•We serve as a resource and/or liaison for shelters, individuals, and the community at large, advocating for any animal in harm's way.
•We also function in an advisory role for private citizens who seek assistance and guidance in better caring for their pets.
We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Please help us help the animals!
