Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rip is a super friendly, smart, playful active guy. He hasn’t met a dog or person that he didn’t like. He’s crate trained, knows how to sit, stay, lay down, and he waits to eat his food until you tell him “ok”. He waits to go in/out the door until you say his name. His recall is pretty good, he will occasionally let his nose take him far but if you call him sternly he comes back.
We rescued him and hate to have to find him a new home but we live on a farm and his prey drive causes him to chase our livestock. He has also gone after our barn cats and kittens. He doesn’t go after the livestock in an aggressive way, he’s such a playful guy he thinks everyone wants to run and play with him too. But it’s getting to the point we are scared the larger livestock will trample / kick him.
We cannot afford a trainer at this time and are terrified he’s going to get hurt.
