My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dog Name: Noel
Breed: Pitty Mix
Sex: Female
Age: 1 year young (still puppyish without the messy puppy behavior!)
Weight: 35ish

Medical Needs:  No major medical needs. Noel has proven to be prone Urinary Tract Infections. Have no fear though! Wiping her lady bits with a wipe after she pees has helped her significantly! When this is done it keeps her infection free (it could be worse!)

Housebroken:  Sure is! She will go to the door when she has to do her business!

Crate trained: Will go in her crate willingly for snacks. She will typically fuss for a minute or 2 and then settles down for the night. She does sleep all night in her crate with no accidents.

Good in the car: Yes! She does best when secured, if not she tries to help drive... She would not pass her drivers test, for sure!

Good on a leash: Yes! She does not pull, but she does like to stop and smell the roses!

Energy level: Girl as got some energy! She will happily play with her toys or a stuffy. She is not obnoxious with her energy level though!

Need a fenced in yard: No, leashed walks are fine.

Dog Friendly: Yes, but she can be a little much for some dogs.
If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? No

Cat Friendly? Yes, very curious and comes on strong. Must be dog-savvy cat. Leashed slow intros are best.

Kid Friendly: Yes!
If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Recommending 10 and up. Noel is currently fostered with a 14 year old, and he’s honestly her favorite  Noel is very puppy-like with her play! This means she can be a little mouthy. She would need a child who is able to correct her behavior and understand that she is just playing.

Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them?

Those wonky eyes, the bat like ears, what’s not to love?! Noel was pulled from a high kill shelter in NC after she was found wandering as a stray, and nobody came for her. She doesn’t let that bother her though! Noel is a very sweet, spunky, quirky girl and oh so lovable. Seriously, look at her  Noel is just a very happy girl, who does what we call “happy hops” and has the funniest facial expressions. She keeps us laughing with her happy go lucky outlook. Noel enjoys all the things in life, the way I wish we all could, she finds joy and happiness in everything she does; she lives in the moment. Noel listens well to corrections and LOVES snacks (don't we all!). She would do great with a family that would take her for long walks (with stops to smell the roses of course), provide her with chew toys for entertainment, and cuddle on the couch at night with all the snacks. If Noel sounds like the girl for you, run don't walk over to our page and fill out an app today! This girl is TOO good to pass up.
