My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rusty! This handsome goofball made his way here after his previous owner passed away. Rusty is a senior dog, but you would never be able to guess! Rusty is medium energy and is described by his foster as very sweet and gentle. He would love nothing more to snooze the day away on the couch with you, and participate in some lazy home activities such as watching TV! He does get a bit excited to go on walks and can pull a little on leash, but is otherwise a very laid back guy! Rusty needs to be the only dog in his household and could go to a home with children ages 13+. Rusty is currently on a special diet, and our Adoption Team would be more than happy to discuss this with you. Interested in providing this senior sweetheart a loving home?

This animal currently resides in a foster home, so we would love to schedule you an appointment to come in and meet them at a time when their highly dedicated foster parent can bring them in. Reach out to schedule an appointment today!

Rusty is also a part of our Rosie's Rule program. Animal Friends has teamed up with Fi Smart Dog Collar to provide GPS-enabled dog collars for Animal Friends' canine residents who may be at an increased risk of becoming separated from their handler. Once outfitted with a Fi Collar, Rosie's Rule dogs will keep their collar through adoption along with a one-year subscription to the Fi App - at no cost to their new family.

Rusty is one of our Extra Loved residents. Although all of our resident animals get plenty of love, many of them come from backgrounds where they may need a little extra care, extra attention and extra patience. To help Rusty find his adoptive home, a generous donor has sponsored his adoption donation to help him feel extra loved!
