Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Smudge, an adorable gray tabby who will instantly become your shadow. This cutie loves to follow his humans everywhere – up the stairs, into the kitchen, on the couch, and off to bed. He is happiest when he's by your side, especially when he receives scratches and belly rubs.
Not surprisingly, Smudge is incredibly friendly and welcomes everyone with open paws. He responds to his name, sprinting over when called. His demeanor mirrors his surroundings, so if you're relaxing, he's right there with you. And when you break out his toys, he is playful as can be, jumping and zooming away. If a favorite toy goes missing, expect him to yowl for your help.
At night, Smudge will snuggle at your feet in bed. Occasionally, you might catch him napping near your pillows during the day – a sure sign of his affection. A charming quirk? He licks fingers! We like to think that’s his way of giving kisses.
Do you want a Valentine's Day (and every day!) filled with cuddles and love? Consider adding Smudge to your home; he'll be a loyal friend for life. Smudge was born 5/22/2019.
If you live in Chicago and are interested in learning more about Smudge, please contact Toni McNaughton at tonimcn@rcn.com and Lisa Ward at catladychicago@yahoo.com. Please tell us a bit about your situation, what you are looking for, the composition of your current household (the other humans and/or pets who already live there). Inquires with these questions answered are responded to promptly.
We are always in need of foster homes. If you are not able to adopt, but are interested in fostering or know someone who might be, we would love to hear from you! Please contact Toni McNaughton at tonimcn@rcn.com or Lisa Ward at catladychicago@yahoo.com to learn more. Photos by Brenda Stewart.
