My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rue! AKA Kanga-Rue when she's excited and doing her happy, hopping dance. At only 6lbs, it's hard to believe how much love and personality this tiny dog has. Rue's favorite things are playing fetch and napping in her foster mom's lap while she works. She is 10 months old, and will remain tiny when full grown. She is currently being fostered in a home with three dogs of all sizes and gets along well with them all. She has even learned how to play with her big foster dog brother even though he's over 10x her size! She can be a bit shy when meeting someone new, but quickly warms up to them and is ready to cuddle and play. Rue wants to be by your side constantly, and will happily be your sidekick all day long.

Rue was found running down a street alone in San Antonio before coming to God's Dogs. She is making good progress with house-training, but still has the occasional puppy accident when overly excited. She doesn't enjoy being kenneled, but will sleep in one quietly all night once settled. Due to being on her own before coming to God's Dogs, Rue doesn't enjoy being left at home while her foster family is away, but is learning to trust that they will always come back. Rue is still getting used to the whole harness and leash thing, but doesn't pull and enjoys going on daily walks and exploring.

Rue's ideal forever home has a family who can shower her with love and attention and help her continue to build her confidence. She is still young, but with positive training she will continue to blossom and have wonderful manners. She would do well in a home with another dog who she can socialize and play with.
