Are you looking for a smart, sweet, and affectionate boy in one? Meet Aaron, a lovable, super friendly dog who welcomes all humans and dogs! He loves to say hello and lean in for pets or kisses, but he might be a little too enthusiastic for baby humans just yet. For shyer puppy friends, Aaron knows to take a step back and walk alongside them instead of playing hard.
This smart boy learned the word "sit" in one session and can do it anywhere. He also hasn't had any accidents in the house. Aaron is very eager to please, which has helped with his training. During play time, he might get his hands on human things, but he can be redirected with a dog toy.
Aaron has typical puppy energy and thrives with long walks and time to play with food puzzles, licky mats and snuffle mats. That said, Aaron is crated overnight and can stay there alone or through a good chunk of the workday as he waits for his foster humans to close their laptops. Aaron does well with his resident dog sister and respects her boundaries. Apply today to learn more about this easygoing guy!

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).
Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.
Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
We also update our Facebook page daily with new cats and dogs.
