Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Looks like: Labrador Retriever mix
Male, 6 years old (estimated), 53 pounds
Neptune is the perfect combination of high energy outdoor goofball and mellow indoor cuddlebug. Outside, he is a very active guy and loves to run, play, and explore. After he has burned some energy, he enjoys indoor chill time with his people, getting hugs, belly rubs, doling out face licks, sneaking kisses, and stretching out on top of you if you let him. His foster family adores many traits about Neptune, including how very trusting he is, gentle around feeding time, his slobber-free drinking, and perfect score on no-potty-accidents.
This amazing pup is friendly with any person and dog he meets and is excited about all interactions. He would be very happy as a single dog or have an equally active canine buddy, but he has a pretty strong prey drive and is looking for a home without feline housemates. Neptune is a super curious and strong guy and he would appreciate a patient human companion with whom he can practice how to walk on leash without pulling or jumping and who can teach him how to be calm when he needs to be. He already knows some fun commands and can sit, lay down, shake, and stay on command as long as you have some yummy treats to reward him with. On car rides, he likes sticking his head out of the window, or, if the window is not down, he just curls up quietly.
Neptune is a dog who would really would prefer to be with his humans most of the time receiving lots of love, attention, and continued training. He dreams about being part of an active family, who will keep his smart brain engaged and take him on lots adventures.
This sweet boy joined us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services after he was found as a stray.
