My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucy is an approximately 6 month old Husky mix. She is 33 pounds and is fully vetted, spayed and microchipped. Lucy is not yet potty-trained, but in all other ways is a good girl. Potty training would be easier with a crate and a fenced in yard. She has some normal puppy behaviors like chewing and jumping up. She is pretty good at sit and stay. She walks well on a leash. She gets along with kids, dogs and cats. Lucy is a sweetheart. She has tons of energy, loves to run and fetch and go for walks, but is also very mellow and will just lay and love you. Lucy loves to have the bridge of her nose scratched and to rest her little chin on your lap for pets. Lucy has great potential to be a wonderful dog for someone who has the time and desire to commit to teaching her to be her best self.

A completed application is required to meet the animal(s) you are interested in and to begin the adoption process. The application must include a veterinarian reference showing a history of good pet ownership and you must live within 100 miles of Independence, MO. At times, multiple applications will be a part of the decision making process when selecting the perfect home. An email confirming our receipt of your application will be sent to you. It will take 5 days for us to review your application and contact your references. If you do not hear from us within 5 days, we are pursuing other applications. More about this rescue

We are a non-profit organization, licensed in the state of Missouri. We rescue animals from local shelters and off the street, while some come from owners who can no longer keep them. Our animals are cared for at our facility or in foster homes while we help them find their forever family.
