Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Theodore (Theo) is approximately 4 years old. He was adopted in 5/2023 and now lives in NYC. He is tall and slender (not your typical pug!) He has a lot of energy and loves to play and be active outside. Theo is a complete lovebug who is always up to snuggle and receive belly scratches.
It was conveyed to me that Theo was woefully neglected for quite some time, as he was very thin when adopted, had spent most of his days in a cage and grossly underfed. He has since gained 3 pounds and is healthy as can be. He does suffer from separation anxiety and is truly a velcro pug with his “person.”
While in NYC, Theo has become very afraid of cars, bikes, runners and loud noises. These factors are unavoidable in NYC and he gets startled easily. Not the best environment for a traumatized dog 😔
If Theo is placed with a family who is patient, loving and willing to give him all the love and attention he deserves, he will thrive. He would do better in a suburb where he is the one and only dog.
